A wall for the Banner room: A bill created by Senator Davidson requesting an allotment of up to
$8,000 from the rollover fund be given to the Wood Center so that a wall may be constructed to separate the kitchen of the Banner room from the main area was sent to the Public Relations Committee.
Corndogs: A bill written by Senator Davidson proposing the purchase of corndogs to be taken for free from the ASUAF office was, after much debate, sent to the Public Relations Committee.
Alternative Spring Break: A bill by Senator Davidson detailing the creation of a $25,000 scholarship to be given to qualifying students who wish to participate in the community volunteer experience of Alternative Spring Break was sent to the Student Affairs Committee.
Fencing Club: A bill written by Senator Gilispie in support of providing the Fencing Club with up to $2,430 of the rollover fund for use in purchasing more rental equipment and holding more tournaments was sent to the Student Affairs Committee.
Cultural Experiences Event: A bill sponsored by Senator Rickards detailing the allotment of $2,000 from the rollover funds to the psychology program’s plans for hosting a Cultural Experiences Event was sent to the Student Affairs Committee.
Financial Procedures Amendments: A bill outlining suggested changes to ASUAF’s financial procedures was discharged from the internal affairs committee unfavorably, where it was then dismissed upon arriving at the senate floor with a vote of 0-8-2.
SRC Equipment: A bill requesting the allotment of up to $22,950 from the rollover account to be given to the DRAW program to purchase new storage equipment was discharged from the student affairs committee favorably. After being moved to the senate floor, a unanimous vote to postpone an actual vote on the bill untill the next meeting was made so that further contact with DRAW could be made.
UAF Power Plant Renovation: A senate resolution to not support the renovation of UAF’s power plant with student fees was discharged from the Student Affairs Committee unfavorably, where it was later vetoed with a vote of 1-7-2.
