ASUAF meets regularly to discuss the welfare of students on and off campus.

Senators Present: Lachlan Gillispie, Michael Mancill, Cordero Reid, Jonathan Quinones,  Erik Rickards, Mitchell Davidson, Chris Hoch, Eli Barry-Garland, Mickey Zakurdaew and Hannah Witherington.

Senators Excused: Matthew Harris, Kayleen Hansen and Allyssia Garcia.

Concert Board: Consideration of students Taylor Morgan and Kyle Milne for a seat on the Concert Board was sent to the student chair for further deliberation.

Board of Regents: Representative Courtney Enright spoke to the senate about a variety of topics surrounding the campus’ future. The presidential search for UA’s President Gamble, who announced in December that he would be retiring June 1, 2015 is now underway. The Board of Regents will be releasing an updated agenda on Wednesday in regards to possible increases in tuition, the recent departmental budget cuts, funding allocation in regards to finishing parts of the new engineering building and more.

For The Good Of The Senate: Senator Reid expressed interest in putting together a bill to assist student clubs that use the SRC regularly with finding a club storage space for their equipment within the building.

Trancemonster: Gary Toth, creator of sci-fi meets electronic dance music event Trancemonster, spoke to the senate in regards to his hope of assisted funding in hosting Trancemonster again this year. Still in first reading, the bill was sent to the Student Affairs Committee for discussion.
